Demos & factory reset

Demos help you skip the cold-start blank page. Each demo pack drops a ready-to-edit set of Companies, workers, and routines into your workspace — pick one close to your situation, install it, then rewrite the prompts to match. Installation is additive (it never overwrites), so you can install several packs side by side. The same tab also holds the factory reset for wiping everything back to a clean slate.

Demo packs

Each pack is a tile with an icon, title, tagline, a short description, and counts of how many 🏢 Companies / 👤 workers / ⏱ routines it adds. Click ⬇ Install pack to drop it in. A confirmation summarizes what was created — Companies, workers, routines, plus any starter Library docs, goals, projects, and tasks. Open the Companies tab to find the new arrivals.

Because installs are additive and every pack uses fresh IDs, installing the same pack twice (or several different packs) never collides — you just get more to work with. Edit or delete anything afterward as normal.

Install, then make it yours

A pack is a head start, not a finished setup. After installing, open the new workers and rewrite their missions and prompts to fit your business — the structure is there so you’re editing instead of staring at a blank page.

The Marketing Team pack is a full department

The Marketing Team pack seeds a complete 13-role marketing department — Head of Marketing, Content Lead, SEO Specialist, Paid Media Buyer, Email & Lifecycle Marketer, Social & Community, CRO Specialist, Brand Manager, CRM & Automation Manager, Influencer Manager, Competitive Intelligence Analyst, Growth Analyst, and Marketing Ops — each already pointed at the marketing skills. It’s the same pack the Company Wizard installs from its one-click Marketing Team card.

🔥 Factory reset

The card at the bottom wipes your workspace back to a clean slate. To run it, click Begin factory reset…, type RESET in the confirmation box, then 🔥 Wipe my workspace.

A reset deletes all of your: Companies, workers, routines, Plans, tasks, conversations, Library items, projects, goals, and the audit log. After it runs you’ll be told what was deleted and asked to restart the app to reset in-memory state and re-seed the defaults.

What survives a factory reset:

• 🎩 Theodor and 🎨 Designer — the two workspace-scope workers are re-seeded, so you’re never left with nobody.
• Provider API keys — your connected providers aren’t part of what the reset clears, so they stay put. (They’re stored in the app’s local database, encrypted at rest since v0.9.268 — see Providers.)

Factory reset is permanent

Unlike Reset workspace data in Settings → General (which soft-deletes into Trash for 30 days), the factory reset here deletes for good — it’s not recoverable from Trash. Export a Backup (Settings → Backups) first if there’s any chance you’ll want your work back.

In practice

Use a demo pack to learn the shape, not as your final setup. A pack is worth installing to see how Companies, workers and routines fit together — then rewrite each worker’s mission and prompt for your actual business. A pack left unedited produces generic output, and it’ll be your own fault rather than the model’s.

Installs are additive and use fresh IDs, so you can layer a second pack alongside the first without collisions. That also means installing the same pack twice gives you duplicates — check before re-running.

Export a backup before a factory reset. Reset workspace data in General soft-deletes into Trash for 30 days; the factory reset here does not — it’s permanent and not recoverable from Trash.

What survives a factory reset: Theodor and the Designer are re-seeded, and your provider connections stay. What doesn’t: every Company, worker you created, conversation, task, plan, routine and Library item.
